Deavan Clegg, former TLC personality, has officially announced her engagement to her boyfriend Christopher “Topher” Park after nearly three years of dating. In an exclusive video interview with In Touch, Deavan shares the story behind their engagement, which happened during a birthday getaway in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Deavan and Chris welcomed their first child together, dubbed “Baby Park,” in October 2022, amidst their son Taeyang’s cancer battle. Deavan reveals that the proposal didn’t go as planned, but it fits their story perfectly, as something wild is always happening in their lives.
“We had like a couple ring, and the only reason we wore that couple ring is because he wanted to bring me as a plus one to his friend’s wedding, but his friend said, no girlfriends only fiancés and wives,” Deavan explains. “So we wore those rings just so I could go to the wedding, and I never took it off.”
Deavan’s love story has been a rollercoaster ride. She announced her divorce from her estranged husband Jihoon in May 2022, amidst their son’s cancer battle. She moved back from Jihoon’s native country of South Korea to the United States, where she reconnected with Chris via social media, and they immediately started dating.
