The Season 8 Premiere of 90 Day Fiancé introduced us to Yara and Jovi. While we are happy to finally have new couples to watch…this one has shown some serious red flags already.
Jovi met Yara via a traveling app while he was vacationing. Jovi is from New Orleans and Yara is a Ukrainian native. Jovi met with Yara again on a vacation in Budapest. He admitted that his initial intention was to have a short fling, however it surprisingly continued. The pair went on multiple vacations together and six months down the line, Yara became pregnant.
Jovi proposed to her and applied for a K-1 visa, but soon after they learned that Yara had unfortunately had a miscarriage. At this point, Jovi started to question if this relationship was something he truly wanted or if he was just feeling the pressure to move things along from the pregnancy.
Jovi’s friends are not shy when it comes to how they feel about his relationship with Yara. Jovi’s friend Kline and his girlfriend share that they have very little faith it will work out and spoke about how unusual the whole situation was. They went on to say that they never saw Jovi settling down, so it is wild to think a woman is traveling all the way from the Ukraine for a life with him. His friends don’t think Jovi is actually prepared for the reality of a serious relationship.
Jovi’s friends went on to say that marriage is life-changing and they don’t think he is ready for it. They think he is still in the ‘let me go party’ mind-set. One Reddit user suggests that Jovi was only a fling to Yara, but when he started taking her on vacations she was attracted to that type of lifestyle. Adding that Jovi also got what he wanted at the time – arm candy. We will see how things go with Yara and Jovi on season 8 of 90 Day Fiance!
